1,270 filings screened from yesterday's Day Pack, 25 primary documents pulled and read, 103 evidence rows extracted. No single large-cap event today — but two mid-cap transcripts landed on the same day with opposite answers to the same question, and that pairing is today's article.

## Today's filings

- **RUPA** (Rupa & Company) — Q1 FY27 call: management confirms a 4–5% price hike taken in Q1 was "gradually again transferred to trade because of intensive competition in terms of extra scheme and all," and that market-share gains came "just by giving higher discounts and extended sale period." A further 4–5% hike is planned for August. A textbook absence of price discretion, stated by the company. (Filed transcript, 18-Aug-2026, p.8, p.10)
- **DIFFNKG** (Diffusion Engineers) — Q1 call: the mirror image. "We've been able to pass on these increases to our customer and now prices are not so volatile" (p.16), with the mechanism named as customer stickiness in heavy engineering — "we then become the factories and the manufacturing arms of some of these engineering companies" (p.19). Management is careful to limit the claim: in consumables and wear parts, it still has to bid competitively. (Filed transcript, 18-Aug-2026)
- **IDEA** (Vodafone Idea) — Q1 FY27 call: management states it has seen no dip in the postpaid business "across the country," declining to comment on competitor trends. Worth tracking against subscriber disclosures rather than taking at face value. (Filed transcript, 18-Aug-2026, p.10)
- **DIVGIITTS** (Divgi TorqTransfer) — Q1 call: management frames the localisation opportunity as competitive rather than granted — "we have to do this by being competitive. Nobody is going to hand that to us on a plateau" (p.23) — and argues OEMs must localise automatic transmissions "otherwise they risk losing market share" (p.11).

## From today's filings

Today's article comes straight from this pack: ["A Price Hike Is Not Pricing Power"](https://www.moatmarginresearch.com/price-hike-is-not-pricing-power/) — Rupa and Diffusion Engineers filed on the same day with opposite answers, and our own scoring had already flagged the category, with Page Industries carrying Price Discretion of 4.8 as its weakest dimension. Staged for Sunday's Weekly Filing Digest: Rupa's give-back admission (THE RECEIPTS candidate) and the Diffusion stickiness quote as its counterweight.
