**Bajaj Finance's board approved raising up to ₹11,700 crore through a QIP and ₹5,800 crore of warrants for its parent Bajaj Finserv. RBI approved new chief executives for HDFC Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank. Sterlite Technologies' subsidiary signed a supply agreement worth about US$1.2 billion with an international hyperscaler. CBI named Reliance Infrastructure and Reliance Power as accused in a chargesheet. And the automakers' September sales closed the quarter: Tata Motors' cars grew fastest.**

## The one to read first

The automakers' 1 October filings close the July–September quarter. Ranked by domestic sales growth from their own filings:

- **Cars:** Tata Motors PV +40.3%, Maruti Suzuki +38.1%, Mahindra +26.0%, Hyundai about +18.8%. In September alone Maruti grew fastest (+36.9%).
- **Two-wheelers:** TVS +24.1%, Royal Enfield +16.4%, Hero MotoCorp +12.9%, Bajaj Auto +1.8%.
- **Trucks and tractors:** Ashok Leyland +34.4%, Tata Motors CV +30.9%, Escorts Kubota +0.9%.
