Daily Filing Digest — Saturday, 3 Oct 2026
A Saturday full of Q2 numbers. Seven more banks filed their September figures, taking our tracker to 22; Jammu & Kashmir Bank's loans grew 7.4 points faster than its deposits. Vedanta Oil & Gas's output fell 19% after ONGC took over its Cambay block. JLR's wholesales recovered from last year's cyber incident, but retail sales fell, led by China. DMart's quarterly revenue rose 18%.

Seven more banks reported Q2: Bank of Baroda (deposits +16.75%, advances +18.27%), Bank of India (+21.60%, +20.43%), IDBI Bank (+17%, net advances +18%), Jammu & Kashmir Bank (+16.29%, +23.72%; CASA ratio down 388 bps), AU Small Finance Bank (+28.6%, gross advances +27.9%), Ujjivan SFB (+29.2%, loan book +32.1%) and Bandhan Bank (+9.2%, +13.1%; CASA ratio 26.71% from 29.40% in June).

Lenders: Q2 updates
- Bajaj Finance AUM grew 26.5% to about ₹5,84,750 crore; new loans booked rose 11% to 13.45 million and the customer franchise reached 128.85 million. (Two days after its board approved a ₹17,500 crore raise: our note.)
- Bajaj Housing Finance AUM grew 25% to about ₹1,58,190 crore; Q2 disbursements were about ₹19,930 crore against ₹15,914 crore.
- L&T Finance estimates retail disbursements of ~₹24,000 crore (+27%) and a retail book of ~₹1,34,500 crore (+29%).
- Kissht (OnEMI) AUM grew 68.4% to about ₹9,317 crore.
- SRG Housing Finance made a voluntary disclosure that it has no overdues to lenders and adequate liquidity, and that management is "actively evaluating the infusion of fresh capital". The filing does not say what prompted it.
Operations
- Vedanta Oil & Gas's gross operated output fell 19% to 72.2 kboepd. Cambay fell 83%: the ministry refused to extend its contract, Delhi High Court dismissed Vedanta's writ on 22 July, and ONGC took over operations from 24 July; Vedanta has appealed. Full read: Vedanta Oil & Gas Loses Cambay
- JLR (filed by Tata Motors PV): Q2 wholesales were 82,400 against 66,165, recovering from last year's cyber incident; retail sales were 79,000 against 85,371. China retail fell to 6,300 from 10,604, and locally built CJLR vehicles ceased in June. Full read: JLR's Q2: Wholesales Up, Retail Down
- Avenue Supermarts (DMart)'s standalone Q2 revenue was ₹19,206.18 crore against ₹16,218.79 crore (+18.4%, our arithmetic), with 518 stores.
- Vedanta group production: Hindustan Zinc mined metal 271 kt (+5%), refined 264 kt (+7%), silver 173 tonnes (+20%); Vedanta Aluminium Metal aluminium 649 kt and alumina 895 kt; Vedanta Iron & Steel saleable steel 532 kt (+4%) but saleable iron ore down 13%; Vedanta Power sales +26% to 5,593 million units, while its Sakti plant, "temporarily shut down since 14th April 2026, after the boiler blast in unit-I", sold 53% less.
- SPIC shut its plants from 3 October for maintenance and equipment replacement, expecting to restart within four weeks. Goa Carbon resumed operations at its Bilaspur plant; the kiln was lit on 3 October.
- Sedemac sold 1,452,867 control ECUs in Q2 (+37.5%). Style Baazar's Q2 revenue fell 10% to ₹4,781 million, which it puts down to Durga Puja demand moving from Q2 into Q3; same-store sales were −25%.
Tax, courts and regulators
- RattanIndia Power: an arbitral tribunal awarded BHEL a net ₹170.78 crore plus interest on part of it, in the Amravati Phase-II dispute.
- Skipper's GST notice was rectified down to ₹40.96 crore from ₹227.53 crore; the company contests it.
- Nectar Lifesciences: the Punjab & Haryana High Court sent a GST matter back to the appellate authority; the company's potential exposure is ₹89.32 crore plus a separate ₹6.24 crore demand.
- Sai Parenterals' monitoring agency, India Ratings, reported deviations of up to ₹238.74 million in the use of IPO proceeds for the June quarter, including funds moved out of the monitoring account and not used the same day.
- Sadhav Shipping (SME): JNPA withdrew its five-year debarment after the company challenged it in the Bombay High Court.
- Aurobindo Pharma got USFDA final approval for perampanel tablets (US market ~US$67 million).
Deals and capital
- Essar Shipping's AGM approved selling two overseas subsidiaries with negative net worth (₹705.48 crore and ₹459.72 crore) and the rig Essar Wildcat.
- Raymond shareholders approved 33,28,686 warrants for Minerva Ventures Fund.
- Muthoot Capital Services approved up to ₹200 crore of secured NCDs at 9.25%. Pashupati Cotspin's board recommended a 3:2 bonus.
- RNFI Services (SME) approved buying two business-correspondent operations for SBI and Bank of Baroda, for up to ₹12 crore (half in cash, half in shares).
- Axiscades: its German step-down subsidiary went into voluntary solvent liquidation after continuous losses.
Orders
- GPT Infraprojects' subsidiary was declared L1 for a ₹149.49 crore Western Railway signalling order. Solex Energy won ₹75.96 crore of solar-module orders.
Stakes, people and credit
- Aarey Drugs' promoter group converted 23.7 lakh warrants, lifting its holding to 42.52%. HMA Agro's promoter Wajid Ahmed asked to be reclassified as public.
- CMR Green Technologies' CFO resigned with effect from 23 October.
- Patel Retail: Acuité upgraded its long-term rating to BBB+.
