Daily Filing Digest — Sunday, 4 Oct 2026
A quiet Sunday with one important detail. HDFC Bank and Yes Bank both reported Q2 deposit growth near 19%, and both disclosed that part of it came from foreign-currency deposits raised under an RBI swap window. Without them, Yes Bank says its deposit growth was 13.2%. Also filed: Nykaa's Q2 update, a pledge by Ola Electric's promoter to fund his rights-issue subscription, and PhysicsWallah selling most of its loan book.
The one to read first
HDFC Bank reported Q2 deposits of about ₹33,275 billion (+18.8%) and gross advances of about ₹32,195 billion (+16.3%). It says it raised US$11.5 billion (₹1,103.4 billion) of FCNR(B) deposits under the RBI's swap facility, open from 8 June to 31 August, and its overseas branches lent US$5.7 billion against them. CASA deposits grew 10.8%, slower than the balance sheet.
Yes Bank reported deposits +19.5% and advances +23.8%. Normalised for the same facility, the bank's own figures are +13.2% and +17.7%. Its certificates of deposit rose to ₹11,382 crore from ₹987 crore.
The 22 earlier bank updates in our tracker don't mention the facility.
