Capacity and operations

  • SJS Enterprises: two wholly owned subsidiaries executed and registered agreements to sub-lease on 11 October for build-to-suit plants at Koregaon Bhima, in Pune district. Both are to be funded from internal accruals or debt. The two investments come to about ₹130 crore (our arithmetic), of which about ₹50 crore is the buildings on lease.
    • Walter Pack Automotive Products India will consolidate its three plants at Ranjangaon (64,273 sq ft, 75% used) into one new plant of about 1,27,359 sq ft, expected to start operations by May 2027. The filing puts the investment required at about ₹49 crore: about ₹15 crore for relocation and basic infrastructure, and about ₹34 crore for the building on lease.
    • SJS Display Electronics, the subsidiary whose incorporation SJS disclosed on 31 August, will set up a plant of about 60,000 sq ft for cover glass and display electronics, which the filing calls SJS's expansion into that business. It is expected to be ready by September 2027. The investment required is about ₹81 crore: about ₹65 crore for plant and machinery, and about ₹16 crore for the building on lease.
  • Power Grid Corporation said the transmission system for evacuating power from the renewable energy zone in Rajasthan (20 GW), phase III part C1, was completely commissioned with effect from 22 September 2026. The notice gives no project cost.
  • DreamFolks Services launched a members-only club, DreamFolks Club Nagavalli Wilderness Estate, on the Odisha–Andhra Pradesh border: about 30 acres including a 25-acre golf course, with 37 cottages. The release gives no cost, no ownership structure and no membership terms; its chairperson says only that the company now has "a place of our own".

Dates to note
